Wow. Thanks for a fabulous day, Bray folk!!! Summer is usually a time of transition for me, and I do my best to make the most of it. This year has taken me from Lincoln, NE to Portland, OR. My heart is overflowing with all of the love I have felt from so many on this journey. They represent the dual nature of my studio practice, and there are so many things I love about each of them. For the past several years I feel as if I have been all over the place, switching from sculpture to pots, porcelain to terra cotta, casting to pinching to throwing and back again. I love all of these things, but I end up feeling that I don't give any one "thing" enough time and attention to develop fully. I have always been slow to make major changes, and letting go of anything is always difficult, but as I am packing and preparing for another move I have been contemplating what I want to make happen in this next leg of my journey. I've come to the conclusion that the first step is to start with a clean slate.
